King Charles III Coronation

Published: 21 March 2023

To celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III, Longstanton Parish Council will be hosting three days of events across the village.

Starting on May 6th, Coronation Day, Longstanton Village Institute will host a drop-in live screening of the Coronation. All Saints' Church will be serving cream teas, to enjoy whilst watching the Ceremony.

Following this, on May 7th it is the Coronation Big Lunch. Everyone is invited to gather on the recreation ground for Live Music, Food Trucks, Bouncy Castles, Fairground Rides and Longstanton Village Market.

Finally, on Bank Holiday Monday, May 8th it is the Big Help Out! We will be inviting volunteers to take part in a Longstanton village litter pick. Our day will start with bacon butties, tea and coffee at All Saints' Church before the litter pick itself.

None of this would be possible without the voluntary help from our community. We are incredibly grateful to those of you who have already volunteered their time.

As everyone knows, many hands make light work, so please don’t forget to sign up to help out here: https://volunteersignup.org/9QJLR
