A14 Road Closures week commencing 20th July 2020

Full closures

Monday 20 9.30am to Friday 24 6pm

A1307 east & west bound between Robins Lane, Lolworth and Oakington roundabout
Vehicles travelling east will be diverted via the A14 at Swavesey and the A1307 Huntingdon Road at Girton. Vehicles travelling west will be diverted via A1307 Huntingdon Road to join the A14 at Girton. Please note, access remains between Buckingway roundabout and Lolworth village and also between Oakington and Dry Drayton.

Monday 20 to Friday 24 (five nights)

A1 northbound Brampton Hut exit slip
Vehicles will be diverted north to Alconbury to then use A1 southbound and either continue or exit for access to Brampton Hut roundabout
A1 northbound Brampton Hut entry slip
Vehicles will be diverted east along A141 and then north at Spittals roundabout to the spur road to re-join the A1 northbound at Alconbury
A141 eastbound link New Ellington Jct 21 to Brampton Hut roundabout
Vehicles will be diverted east on the A605 at Jct 13 then south on the A1(M) to the A605 to re-join the A14 at Jct 21
A14 westbound Brampton Interchange Jct 22 exit slip
Vehicles will be diverted to continue on the A14 to Thrapston Jct 13 and then A605 to join the A1(M). Alternatively, those wishing to travel south on the A1 can exit the A14 at Swavesey, west on A1307, south on A1198 and west on A428 to join the A1 at Wyboston
A10 southbound approach to Milton Jct 33
Vehicles will be diverted via Butt Lane, Milton Road, Burgoynes Road, Impington Lane and B1049 Bridge Road to access Cambridge or the A14

Thursday 23 to Friday 24 (two nights)

A141 westbound Brampton Hut to New Ellington Jct 20
Vehicles will be diverted onto A1(M) northbound, to A605 westbound and join the A14 at Thrapston Jct 13
Woolley Road & New Ellington north roundabout

Friday 24 to Saturday 25 (two nights)

A428 eastbound Madingley to A14 eastbound Histon Jct 32
Motorway traffic will travel south on the M11, east on A505 and north on A11 to re-join the A14. Non motorway traffic will be diverted on local roads through Cambridge.

Saturday 25 (one night) 9pm – 8am

Brampton Road B1514 between station car park and Edison Bell Way
Vehicles on the Huntingdon town centre side will be diverted onto the ring road, St Peters Road to A141 west to Brampton / Brampton Racecourse junction and into Brampton via B1514. Vehicles on the Brampton side of the closure will follow this diversion in reverse.
