A14 Road Closures week commencing 8th June 2020

Full closures
Monday 8 8am to Friday 12 6pm

  • A1307 between Robins Lane, Lolworth and bottom of the ‘jug handle’ Bar Hill/Longstanton exit
    Vehicles will be diverted via A14 Swavesey Jct 24 and Bar Hill Jct 25

Monday 8 to Friday 12 (five nights)

  • A1 northbound Brampton Hut exit slip
    Vehicles will be diverted north to Alconbury to then use A1 southbound and either continue or exit for access to Brampton Hut roundabout
  • A1 northbound Brampton Hut entry slip
    Vehicles will be diverted east along A141 and then north at Spittals roundabout to the spur road to re-join the A1 northbound at Alconbury
  • A14 eastbound Bar Hill Jct 25 entry slip
    Vehicles will be diverted west to Swavesey Jct 24 to access the A14 eastbound
  • A14 westbound Bar Hill Jct 25 exit slip
    Vehicles will be diverted to continue west to Swavesey Jct 24 and return on the A14 eastbound to then exit for Bar Hill

Monday 8 to Thursday 11 (four nights)

  • A141 eastbound link between New Ellington Jct 21 and Brampton Hut roundabout
    Vehicles will be diverted east on the A605 at Jct 13 then south on the A1(M) to the A605 to re-join the A14 at Jct 21
  • B1049 Bridge Road northbound at Histon Jct 32
    Vehicles will be diverted via A14 eastbound to Milton Jct 33, A10 northbound, Butt Lane, Milton Road, Burgoynes Road and Impington Lane to access Histon & Impington

Monday 8 to Tuesday 9 (two nights)

  • A428 eastbound Madingley to A14 eastbound Milton Jct 33
    Motorway traffic will travel south on the M11, east on A505 and north on A11 to re-join the A14. Non motorway traffic will be diverted on local roads through Cambridge.
  • A14 westbound between Six Mile Bottom Jct 36 and Girton Jct 31
    Motorway traffic will travel south on the A11, west on the A505 and then north on the M11. Non motorway traffic will diverted on local roads through Cambridge
  • A10 southbound approach to Milton Jct 33
    Vehicles will be diverted via Butt Lane, Milton Road, Burgoynes Road, Impington Lane and B1049 Bridge Road to access Cambridge or the A14

Wednesday 10 to Friday 12 (three nights)

  • A14 westbound Histon Jct 32 exit slip

Friday 12 (one night)

  • A10 southbound approach to Milton Jct 33
    Vehicles will be diverted via Butt Lane, Milton Road, Burgoynes Road, Impington Lane and B1049 Bridge Road to access Cambridge or the A14

Friday 12 8pm to Monday 15 6am
  • Grafham Road (over the A1)
    Vehicles will be diverted to travel between Grafham and Brampton via Buckden roundabout and B1514 Brampton/Buckden Road
  • A1307 between B1050 Hattons Road and Oakington roundabout and Dry Drayton overbridge
    Vehicles will be diverted via Oakington, Cottenham, Rampton, Willingham and Longstanton. For travel from Dry Drayton to Oakington, drivers will be diverted on A1307 past the Crematorium, onto A14 westbound to exit at Bar Hill and follow the diversion described above, in reverse.
Saturday 13 (one night) 9pm – 8am
  • Brampton Road B1514 between station car park and Edison Bell Way
    Vehicles on the Huntingdon town centre side will be diverted onto the ring road, Ermine Street B1044 to Spittals roundabout, A141 west to Brampton / Brampton Racecourse junction and into Brampton via B1514. Vehicles on the Brampton side of the closure will follow this diversion in reverse.
