A14 Road Closures week commencing 20th April 2020

PLEASE NOTE – ALL CLOSURES (UNLESS STATED OTHERWISE) WILL START AGAIN AT 9PM

Monday 20 to Friday 24 (five nights)

A1 northbound Brampton village exit & entry slips
Vehicles can exit and enter Brampton village via the A141 Racecourse junction
A1 northbound Brampton Hut exit slip
Vehicles will be diverted north to Alconbury to then use A1 southbound and either continue or exit for access to Brampton Hut roundabout
A1 southbound Brampton Hut entry slip
Vehicles will be diverted east on A141 to Spittals and A1307 north to Alconbury and return on the southbound carriageway
A1 southbound to A14 eastbound link Brampton Interchange Jct 22
Vehicles will be diverted from A1M to A605 and join the A14 eastbound at Thrapston Jct 13
A14 westbound to A1 northbound link Brampton Interchange Jct 22
Vehicles will be diverted to continue on A14 to Thrapston Jct 13 and north on A605 to join the A1(M). Vehicles wishing to travel south from the A1307 can exit to A1198 and west on A428 to join the A1 at Wyboston
A10 southbound approach to Milton Jct 33
Vehicles will be diverted via Butt Lane, Milton Road, Burgoynes Road, Impington Lane and B1049 Bridge Road to access Cambridge

Monday 20 to Thursday 23 (four nights)

A428 eastbound Madingley to A14 eastbound Milton Jct 33
Motorway traffic will travel south on the M11, east on A505 and north on A11 to re-join the A14. Non motorway traffic will be diverted on local roads through Cambridge.
M11 Jct 14 exit slip
A14 westbound between Six Mile Bottom Jct 36 and Girton Jct 31
Motorway traffic will travel south on the A11, west on the A505 and then north on the M11. Non motorway traffic will diverted on local roads through Cambridge

Monday 20 (one night)

M11 northbound Jct 13 to A14 westbound Girton Jct 31
Vehicles will be diverted west onto A1303 to continue onto A428 westbound, B1040 northbound at Eltisley, A1198 northbound and either join the A14 at Jct 23 for through traffic or continue north to join A1307 for local traffic.
B1050 Hattons Road southbound on Bar Hill gyratory (between eastbound entry slip and westbound exit slip)
Vehicles will be diverted east on A14 to exit onto A1307 Huntingdon Road prior to the M11, access the A14 westbound at Girton Jct 31 and exit to Bar Hill Jct 25.
Dry Drayton overbridge
Vehicles on the Oakington side will be diverted to Bar Hill via A1307, onto the A14 eastbound to exit onto A1307 Huntingdon Road prior to the M11. Vehicles on the Dry Drayton side will be diverted along the A1307 past the Crematorium onto the A14 westbound at Girton Jct 31, exit at Bar Hill and onto the A1307 from here

Tuesday 21 to Thursday 23 (three nights)

M11 northbound Jct 13 to A14 westbound Bar Hill Jct 25
Vehicles will be diverted west onto A1303 to continue onto A428 westbound, B1040 northbound at Eltisley, A1198 northbound and either join the A14 at Jct 23 for through traffic or continue north to join A1307 for local traffic
B1050 Hattons Road northbound on Bar Hill gyratory (between westbound entry slip and eastbound exit slip)
Vehicles will be diverted onto A14 westbound to Swavesey to then return on the eastbound carriageway

Thursday 23 to Friday 24 (two nights)

A1307 spur southbound between A1(M) and B1043 entry slip
Vehicles will be diverted to stay on A1 southbound and exit at Brampton Hut and onto A141

Friday 24 9pm to Monday 27 6am

A428 eastbound Madingley to A14 eastbound Histon Jct 32 (this includes the A14 eastbound to eastbound Girton link)
Motorway traffic will travel south on the M11, east on A505 and north on A11 to re-join the A14. Non motorway traffic will be diverted on local roads through Cambridge.

Friday 24 (one night)

B1050 Hattons Road southbound between A1307 local road and Bar Hill junction gyratory
Vehicles wishing to travel from Longstanton to Bar Hill or onto the A14 will be diverted onto the A1307 local road towards Swavesey and return on A14 eastbound.

Saturday 25 (one night) 9pm – 8am

Brampton Road B1514 between station car park and Edison Bell Way
Vehicles on the Huntingdon town centre side will be diverted onto the ring road, Ermine Street B1044 to Spittals roundabout, A141 west to Brampton / Brampton Racecourse junction and into Brampton via B1514. Vehicles on the Brampton side of the closure will follow this diversion in reverse.
