Bar Hill Community Resilience

Published: 03 March 2020

I’m getting in touch to let you know about our Community Resilience Evening in Bar Hill, next Thursday March 12th 6:30-8:30 pm, as I hope it will be of real interest. The event is being hosted by Communities Prepared, a national community resilience programme that supports communities to develop their preparedness for, and resilience to, floods and other severe weather emergencies.

Run in partnership with the Environment Agency and Cambridgeshire County Council, the event will explore ways to work together as communities to manage the impact of these emergencies - a priority in the context of the most recent storms and ongoing impact of climate change.  We’ll be looking at the role of volunteers and community flood/emergency volunteer groups, opportunities to get involved and the support available. It’s also a chance to ask questions, share ideas and experiences with each other and make new connections.

I appreciate it’s short notice, but we would be delighted if you and your community could join us. You can register for your free place here: http://bit.ly/CPBarHill and I also attach our poster with the key event details. Please let me know if you have any questions.
