A14 Road Closures week commencing 2nd March 2020

Full closures
Monday 2 to Friday 6 (five nights)
- A1 northbound Brampton Hut exit slip
Vehicles will be diverted north to Alconbury to then use A1 southbound and either continue or for access to Brampton Hut roundabout# - A141 eastbound link between New Ellington Jct 21 and Brampton Hut roundabout
Vehicles will be diverted east on the A605 at Jct 13 then south on the A1(M) to the A605 to re-join the A14 at Jct 21. Alternatively, vehicles can continue on A14 to Godmanchester Jct 23, and return on westbound carriageway and exit at Brampton Interchange to A1 - Brampton Road B1514 between station car park and Edison Bell Way
Vehicles on the Huntingdon town centre side will be diverted onto the ring road, Ermine Street B1044 to Spittals roundabout, A141 west to Brampton / Brampton Racecourse junction and into Brampton via B1514. Vehicles on the Brampton side of the closure will follow this diversion in reverse.
Monday 2 to Thursday 5 (four nights)
- A14 eastbound Godmanchester/A1198 Jct 23 to Swavesey Jct 24
Vehicles will be diverted north on A1198 and then east on A1307 to re-join the A14 at Swavesey - Local road between B1050 Hattons Road and Oakington roundabout
Vehicles wishing to exit the A14 westbound for Bar Hill and Longstanton, Jct 25 will need to stay on to Swavesey Jct 24 and return on the eastbound carriageway. Vehicles wishing to exit the A14 eastbound for Oakington and Dry Drayton will need to stay on the A14 and exit onto A1307 Huntingdon Road, to return west on the local road, past the Crematorium - M11 northbound Jct 13 to A14 westbound Bar Hill Jct 25
Vehicles will be diverted west onto A1303 to continue onto A428 westbound, A1198 northbound and either join the A14 at Jct 23 for through traffic or continue north to join A1307 for local traffic. - A428 eastbound Madingley to A14 eastbound Milton Jct 33
Motorway traffic will travel south on the M11, east on A505 and north on A11 to re-join the A14. Non motorway traffic will be diverted on local roads through Cambridge. - M11 Jct 14 exit slip
- A14 westbound between Six Mile Bottom Jct 36 and Girton Jct 31
Motorway traffic will travel south on the A11, west on the A505 and then north on the M11. Non motorway traffic will diverted on local roads through Cambridge
Monday 2 to Tuesday 3 (two nights)
- A14 westbound Swavesey Jct 24 to Godmanchester / A1198 Jct 23
Vehicles will be diverted west on A1307 and south on A1198 to re-join the A14. Vehicles wishing to later travel south on the A1 can continue south on A1198 and west on A428 to join the A1 at Wyboston
Wednesday 4 to Thursday 5 (two nights)
- A1307 westbound between Swavesey and Fenstanton
Vehicles will be diverted onto B1050 Hattons Road from A14 Jct 25, A1123 then Harrison Way and London Road to re-join the A1307 at St Ives - A14 westbound Swavesey Jct 24 between exit and entry slips
Vehicles will be diverted via the exit slip and re-join the A14 via the entry slip
Friday 6 9pm to Monday 9 6am
- Local road between B1050 Hattons Road and Oakington roundabout and Dry Drayton Jct 30 overbridge
Vehicles wishing to exit the A14 westbound at Jct 30 for Oakington will be diverted to exit at Bar Hill Jct 25 via the reopened westbound exit slip, onto B1050 Hattons Road and via Willingham, Rampton and Cottenham to access Oakington. Vehicles wishing to exit the A14 eastbound for Dry Drayton will need to stay on the A14 and exit onto A1307 Huntingdon Road, to return west on the local road, past the Crematorium
Friday 6 to Sunday 8 (three nights)
- A14 westbound Swavesey Jct 24 between exit and entry slips
Vehicles will be diverted via the exit slip and re-join the A14 via the entry slip
Friday 6 to Saturday 7 (two nights)
- A14 eastbound Bar Hill Jct 25 between exit and entry slips
Vehicles will be diverted via the exit slip and re-join the A14 via the entry slip - A14 westbound Bar Hill Jct 25 between exit and entry slips
Vehicles will be diverted via the exit slip and re-join the A14 via the entry slip
Friday 6 (one night)
- A14 eastbound Milton Jct 33 entry slip
Vehicles will be diverted west on A1 to Histon Jct 32 and return on eastbound carriageway
Saturday 7 (one night) 9pm – 8am
- Brampton Road B1514 between station car park and Edison Bell Way
Vehicles on the Huntingdon town centre side will be diverted onto the ring road, Ermine Street B1044 to Spittals roundabout, A141 west to Brampton / Brampton Racecourse junction and into Brampton via B1514. Vehicles on the Brampton side of the closure will follow this diversion in reverse.
Sunday 8 (one night)
