Changes to Swavesey Junction

There will be a change in layout of the eastbound entry and exit slips at Swavesey in the next few days.

Tuesday 3rd Dec 5am
Entry slip – the eastbound entry slip will still be accessed from the same roundabout as now but rather than the right bend halfway down traffic will head straight on and join the A14 main carriageway

Thursday 5th Dec 5am
Exit slip – a new eastbound exit slip will be opened off the A14 main carriageway just before the new entry slip.

The existing eastbound exit slip, which is currently the long run up the route of the new local access road, will remain open on Thursday, Friday and all weekend (apart from Friday 6th Dec night when there is an overnight closure between Jct 27 Fenstanton and Jct 28 Swavesey) in advance of the new bypass opening on 9th December.

Please remember from the morning of 9th December Swavesey junction will become Junction number 24 (details of the new junction numbers can be found on the map opposite).
