A14 Westbound Jct 30 Dry Drayton to Jct 29 Bar Hill

Published: 22 November 2019

As part of the A14 works this weekend , a short section of the main A14 westbound carriageway will be closed between Dry Drayton and Bar Hill from 9pm tonight until Monday 5am. In order to avoid closing the whole section of road, traffic will exit at Dry Drayton Jct 30, use the local access road and then re-join back onto the A14 to head west at the Bar Hill Jct 29 entry slip.

To reduce the amount of through traffic using this ‘up and over’ diversion; the team has decided to also close the A14 westbound to westbound loop at Girton.  All A14 through traffic will be diverted on to the A428 westbound and A1198 northbound to re-join the A14.

The Dry Drayton bridge and the new local access road will be open for local traffic to travel to Oakington, Bar Hill and Longstanton
